Overview
You are seeing that the log files are taking up a lot of space very frequently and causing the Aurea Monitor Intermediary (AI) to stop working due to insufficient disk space. The log files are very big, sometimes several gigabytes.
You would like to mitigate this issue from happening.
Solution
This issue can happen when you have Debugging Traces Logging Level (debug logging) enabled for your AI. Usually, this should be enabled only for troubleshooting purposes, because debug logging means that every detail of what happens within AI is logged, resulting in big log files.
It is recommended to disable Debugging Traces (debug logging) once you finish your troubleshooting to avoid having big log files. This can be done by changing your Logging Level settings to any other Logging Level (eg: Errors only).
The logging level settings for your AI can be configured:
- on your AI console under Event Log -> Configure Logging -> Logging Level, or
- on your Aurea Monitor Management Server (AMS) by changing the Logging Level settings of your AI profile (Configure -> Network -> Profiles -> Edit the AI profile).
