Overview
After a fresh Aurea Monitor Management Server (AMS) installation, trying to access the newly installed Monitor Agents' console (eg: via http://<host>:4041/lgagent) or Actional Intermediary (eg: via http://<host>:4400/sst) provisioned with AMS prompts for a username and password.
There is no default username or password to access these consoles, and the AMS username and password also doesn't work, and the local Jetty user is only used by the Management Server.
Solution
To be able to log in, the AMS Administrator will need to create a new user and assign it to the Superuser role. The default admin user you see in Local Users is only the dashboard admin.
To do this follow the steps below:
- Log in as AMS Administrator in Aurea Monitor AMS console, goto Configure -> Platform -> Local Users, and create (add) a new user.
- In Aurea Monitor AMS console, goto Configure -> Platform -> Local Role and add the newly created user to the Superuser role.
- As Administrator, restart the Agent/Intermediary to be able to log in with this newly created user.
Note: As described in the AMS Management Server Guide:
Superuser: Special role to enable communication between Monitor Intermediaries or Management Servers that are members of a cluster. This role should only be used to map the account that the cluster members use to authenticate each other.
